ECS – Erosion Control Superintendent

 We have an immediate opening for an ECS – Erosion Control Superintendent  

Summary:

The ECS role is a key and important position in the company. An effective Superintendent directly effects the success of any related project.

When the Superintendent performs his job properly men are trained well in field techniques, installations are done correctly the first time, costly rework is avoided, labor and equipment are utilized most efficiently and the affairs and representation of the company in the field are performed professionally.

The Superintendent also is charged with promoting productive relationships between subcontractors and Landscape Development foremen and crews.

 Essentials:

  • Salary: $80,00 – $85,000 / Commensurate with Experience

 Responsibilities Include: 

  • Hire and train new field personnel as required.
  • Coordinate field staffing for projects and ensure that high levels of productivity and quality are performed.
  • Requisition equipment required for each project.
  • Review project info package with Project Manager and Foremen.
  • Study and understand plans for each project under construction.
  • Attend all pre-job walks.
  • Multi visits weekly to each site under production.
  • Verify correct installation and adherence to the plans and specifications at each project.
  • Professionally represent the company at all times and in all meetings in the field.
  • Ensure proper and efficient use of equipment/tools in the field.
  • Conduct weekly or biweekly Foreman meetings.

 Requirements Include: 

  • A minimum of two years of landscape construction, erosion control or general Superintendent experience or a combination of work experience and formal college level education in landscape, civil or business management.
  • Must be physically healthy to support a considerable job load.
  • Must display proficiency in sales, English, business writing and estimating skills.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Spanish language ability is helpful.
  • A California driver’s license and clear driving record
